Hello beautiful ladies,
How was your weekend. Mine was fun. Went out enjoying the last few days of SALE in Delhi malls and bought some exciting stuff for an upcoming family wedding. Saw two movies over the weekend as well "the nanny diaries" and "the back-up plan". Loved both of them. I love such cute rom-coms.
Enough said!! Back to business. I am sharing my experience on the Lancome Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate with you guys today. You may remember that I got this in the January Box from blisscovered (shown here).
I got a 5ml packaging of this serum which retails at INR 4500 for 45 ml of the product. Some calculations later, I deciphered the cost of the sample to be INR 500.
Ingredient list: Couldn't find parabens but dimethicone is there (so people with silicone allergy might want to skip this).
First, I would tell you about my skin type. I have combination-normal skin type, with rare occurances of breakout with the skin care routine I follow. So, I am always very nervous / cautious when adding or subtracting products from this regime (shown here). I was excited to get a sample (as always) and wanted to try it out ASAP, but was a little skeptical beacuse of the reason mentioned above.
The first thought was it is such a chotu sample, would be good for maximum 5 applications. But if I was pleasantly proven wrong with this. The sample has lasted for 15 days (with 2 applications a day).
Swatch:
As you can see from the swatch above, that it is translucent with no smell whatsoever, and a light texture which spreads easily and evenly. After rubbing, it gets absorbed in no time (as seen below).

After using this for a fortnight, I would say that it is definitely a wonder product and worth every penny spend. Summing up in one line, it is a WONDER product. It does everything good to your skin, smoothening, evening out complexion, toning your skin, reducing the appearance of pores, and giving your complexion a nice and healthy glow. Also, it didn't break me out at all.
I incorporated this serum in my skincare routine and applied it after toning my skin twice a day, everyday for 15 days. I had slight discolouration around my chin area, which is now completely gone. Also, my skin is healthy and glowing.
Product rating: A, available at all Lancome outlets and blisscovered. I would definitely recommend this to people looking for a good anti-ageing serum, even though the price is on the higher side as it would last you for at least 4.5 - 5 months. I for one would be buying this serum in full-size. All in all I would say it is good value for money.
Take care...
Lancome is an amazing luxury brand. Thanks for the review! Amazing!
