MAC Kissable Lipcolor Scandelicious: Review, Swatches

Hey beauties,

How is your weekend coming along? I am making some plans for a long overdue vacation for quiet some time now. and in between the endless fights with my hubby and my baby, we are yet to finalize a destination. Sometimes, it is just too difficult to make sense of what everyone else around you is saying. I think you get the flow.
Ok, enough of bantering and blabbering, let's go and meet one of the best lipcolors that I have come across in recent times, which nearly created a scandal when my husband saw me wearing it for a family get together. The lipcolor I am talking about is Scandlicious, yummy love that name!!!

The lipcolor sorms a part of kissable lipcolor family from MAC, which was introduced with Peacocky collection last year. That was when I couldn't lay my hands on one, so when it was repromoted as a part of Shop MAC Cook MAC collection, I had to get it. And lo and behold! I was able to grasp the last piece from the Select City Outlet on day two from the Collection Launch. Phew!!!

Price: INR 1400 for 5 gm of the product. Tha packaging of the lipcolor is pretty and sleek, with a longish tube housing the product and a black cap housing the doe foot applicator. The packaging is longer than the standard MAC lipglasses and I love the way MAC products are packaged making all of them travel friendly.

I am quiet liking this lipcolor, even though it is liquid the pigmentation and the texture is way better than many lipsticks and glosses I have used in the past. It is actually like a flowing lipstick, though it feels lighter than many lipsticks which I currently own. The pigmentation of this lipcolor is just awesome, one swipe and you are done. The texture is equally good, the lipcolor feels so soft and light while application and stays so for the entire time it is present on your lips. Once set, which takes around 15-20 seconds, it doesn't bleed. Coming to the awesomest part the staying power, the stain that the lipcolor leaves once the initial glosiines subsides, stays on me for 7+ hours with lip smacking meals. It doesn't dry my lips at all even after it is gone. My lips feels nascent and as though I haven't applied anything on my lips at all. The best thing, which I love about Scandelicious is the color. It's bright fuschia with blue undertones. Looks gorgeous and doesn't wash me out and neither makes me look like a JOKER!!! It's not a very sophisticated shade but it is a great shade for party wear and for casual wear. Would look great with neutral eye makeup though as it itself has the punch to make your lips stand out as the best feature of your face. Overall, I am pretty happy with the color as well as the formula of the kissable lipcolors.

Since the lipcolor is very bright, it might not suit very dusky skintones, anyways always, always check a product swatch on the part where it is to be used before purchasing. Hand swatching is not enough sometimes.

Product rating: A+, was available at all MAC counters with limited edition Shop MAC Cook MAC collection, see if you can lay your hands on kissable lipcolors, you will definitely love the formula and the colors are preety good, though some may wash out most Indian skintones.

Take care...
