Hello People,
How are all of you doing today??? today we celebrate the 158th birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, who is also "Father of our Nation". For most of us, this is just another holiday, but take a moment and pause your life, to follow just one policy practised and preached by the Man and you will be amazed at the simplicity of thought and action, which you would be able to achieve. The policy I am talking about is "Non-violence". He got our country independence by this simple and effective tool. Brace non-violence and see your life change!!!
I am trying to follow this since I got married into a Jain family and this has had many positive influences on my life. So, these days I try to buy preservative-free and chemical-free products, and also products, which don't afflict violence on animals. Today I am reviewing a recent buy, which I shared with you girls yesterday as well (read HERE), it's Lotus Herbals PureStay Eye Contour Definer in Emerald (#17).
Price: INR 549 for 1.5 gm of the product. These eyeliner are available in pencil form and are colored as per the shade they are carrying. The product is shaped like a pencil, which is sharpen able, as I discovered after some ordeal.
Ingredient list: NA
Below you would see a pic, which was what I received when I opened the cap. I was so disappointed. Generally, you get a nice tip of eyeliner, which you can use directly on your eyes, but here I received a stub. I wasted so much time in thinking that this is a twist up pencil and tried to do so as well. Funny no??? But, this has never happened with me before and I was so so disappointed that all logic just flew out of mind!!!
This is what I received:
But soon enough I regained some of my lost common sense, flipped out my sharpener and sharpened the pencil to get a nice tip. The pencil sharpened quiet easily and here's the tip, which I got after sharpening.
Swatch: This was a matte henna green colored pencil, which I loved as soon I swatched it, 'cause the pigmentation was so great :)
EOTD (with only the eyeliner has been applied to the eyes and nothing else):
Overall, I am quiet liking this eyepencil. It glides on effortlessly, I don't have to apply any pressure whatsoever. The pigmentation is also quiet awesome and one swipe is enough to deposit color on your lids, there is no need to go back and forth. The color is matte with no shimmer, the perfect henna green for me with awesome pigmentation. It looks very nice as a office wear color 'cause there is no shimmer or glitter. I have been wearing this daily for the past three days and it just doesn't move, budge or transfer to my crease. At night, I have to remove this with a eye makeup remover, difficult to remove with water and face-wash only. Since this is matte I applied it on my waterline as well. It didn't sting at all and stayed true for 4-5 hours after which it faded a little, but didn't transfer to my lower eyelid or smear over my face.
Except for the price and lack of ingredient list I quiet like this eyepencil. The eyepencils are available in three more shades, which are also quiet good. The shades were teal, black, and a plummy-pink color (Company PR: Please take note, when we are putting something in our eyes, lips, which could again be ingested, it's our right to know about the ingredient list as well).
Product rating: B+, available at select stores for now, check out your beauty shops. The complete stock is not available, I tried swatching the foundations, face powders, eyepencils, lipsticks, lipglosses, and mascara. The rest of the stock would be coming in the weeks to follow. Personally, would love to try more products but would also request the company to provide an ingredient list, which would put most of minds at rest, and we would able to use these wonderful products without an ounce of dioubt.
Take care...
