MAC ProlongWear LipCreme Dear Diary Review, Swatches

Time for some fun colors on lips, I don't think so... The summer collections by MAC launch in India by Autumn and it totally takes away the fun of using bright colors. Case in point, MAC Dear Diary ProlongWear LipCreme, which was a part of the MAC Beth Dittoo Collection, launched here in September/October.

Price: INR 1400 for 3.6 gm of product (I won this, read HERE). Packaging is super classy in the signature MAC packaging for the prolongwear lipcremes.

 I quiet like this lipcreme, the first reason being that it is something, which I have won, the second being it is MAC, and the third being it is superbly long-lasting. I quiet like the color, it's pink with purple undertones, which makes it a little less neonish, though it is still a cool-toned pink. It would be a great color for summers and I am going to use it just then. Texture-wise, it's fantastic, just glides on my lips like a dream and then doesn't smudge for a good 8+ hours (with meals). For the time it's on my lips I don't feel any dryness on my lips, even though the lipstick doesn't have balmy texture. The color is fresh and brings about a freshness to my face, which I would love to sport during the summer months.

Product rating: A, availability at MAC counters might be an issue, since it was a part of a limited edition collection. I would definitely recommend this shade for summers and prolongwear lipcremes in general for their excellent texture and lasting power.
