Maybelline ColorSensational High Shine Lip Gloss in Mirrored Mauve

How is your week starting, mine has been good so far, let's see what surprises are in store for me over the next few days :). Moreover, what's better to make your day gorgeous than this awesome Maybelline ColorSensational High Shine Lip Gloss in Mirrored Mauve. The whole world is raving about these by now and this one is by far the best shade for office going women like me.

Price: INR 350 for 5 ml of the product. I quiet like the packaging, its gives you a nice feel while holding, and the good looking silver cap housing the applicator.

The applicator is tilted as compared to other glosses and I do like the way the wand comes out clean every time I take out the gloss. This is by far the best feature of this range of glosses apart from the excellent lipgloss itself.

As you see from the swatches above, the gloss gives a beutiful shine and slight plumpness to my thinner upper lip. Texture-wise the gloss is superb, it's light weight, doesn't make my hair stick to my lips, and doesn't coat my lips, or peel off a layer while it is going away. Mirrored Mauve is beautiful mauvish pinkish shade in itself and makes for a great everyday lip color.
The gloss gives a beautiful shine and color to my lips and covers light pigmentation as well. But if you have highly pigmented lips steer clear of using it alone as this is not a full coverage shade. This shade would work beautifully when paired with a nice pink lip color as well. I haven't tried layering it but am thinking of doing that soon :).
My only grouse with these lipglosses (as with other lipglosses out there) is the lasting power. This one in particular lasted for three hours on my lips and was completely gone after a coffee/meal. But since I don't mind reapplying I am happy with it. For girls out there looking for a long lasting lipgloss, this one doesn't fit the bill.

Product rating: A, available at most online beauty shops and Maybelline counters. I would highly recommend Maybelline ColorSensational High Shine Lip Gloss to all of you. These are great lipglosses at a great price. period.
