Indian Wedding Lookbook: Reception

Hello beauties,

How are you? It's been a long, long time since we chatted (I feel chattier than usual today...), so let's chat about one of my LOTDs, which you might recognize from my twitter profile.

This LOTD was for a wedding reception (of course, you know 'cause of the post title, how dumb of me, sighs loudly). It was a relatives wedding and I decided to keep my look simple yet elegant by wearing this lovely Saree (a close friend's creation). Also, decided to throw in a few key jewellery pieces, and not go overboard.

The Saree style is half-n-half (as is evident from the pic above, here I go again...). The bottom pleats portion has a nice soft lace material and the pallu portion is Georgette in a really, really gorgeous orange shade. The pic was taken indoors in yellow light, otherwise the colors are more vibrant than they seem here.

My makeup was minimal, with a nice base, blush, neutral eye (my go to look when I am in a hurry), and a nudish lip.

For jewellery, I decided to keep my earrings small, with a statement necklace in pearls and Pearl bangles. I decided to go for an all pearl jewellery as the work on the blouse included pearls and since half the Saree was in white (I thought of completing the look with small pearl jewels).

That's all for today folks. Let me know what you think of the look in the comments below.

See ya...

  2. Most silk saris utilize genuine gold strings to make striking outlines and examples on the sari fringes. You basically can't get any more terrific than genuine gold sewed onto your clothing. silk sarees online shopping
