Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation, Photos, Swatches

Hello beauties,

Hope you guys are enjoying the spring in the air (however it feels like summer already to me…).

Today review is based on the only high-end foundation I have tried till date, the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. I got this from Selfridges on my trip to London. I am shade NC 35 in MAC. Read on to know my experience with this Foundation.

Price: 35 GBP (you do the maths J)

The foundation is fluid with a very light texture, glides on smoothly and provides medium coverage on my skin. One can totally build up the foundation. The foundation is very long lasting and survives throughout the day, even in humid/hot weather, without any oxidation. The foundation comes off easily with a makeup remover. It has never broken me out yet.

The foundation provides enough moisturization to my skin and on wintery days doesn’t need a powder to be set. I use my fingers to apply this foundation as it provides a more natural finish. After application the foundation sets automatically to a velvety texture, which I just so love. It doesn’t layer your skin heavily and you can feel that your skin can still breathe. However, I set my T-Zone with loose powder during humid days to prevent shine on my skin.

The foundation doesn’t budge once set and makes your skin look totally alive and beautiful. In fact it never goes cakey and looks like you have better skin, suddenly and naturally. I say this because my husband who actually never notices the makeup which I put on, saw my face after the MUA had tries the Vitalumiere Aqua and instantly asked me, what makeup you are wearing, you look so fresh.

I have tried this foundation for wedding as well as parties as well as mall hopping and it has never failed to surprise me with its versatility. It makes me look natural and flawless at the same time, if you understand what I mean.

However, I would have preferred a better packaging, such as, nozzle for dispensing the product. The current packaging allows product buildup in the cap and also doesn’t allow one to judge the amount of product remaining in the bottle. Also the foundation does contain parabens (if you must know).

However, it is a great foundation and it has become a staple in my vanity since it is one of the great foundations, which I have ever tried.

A few pics where I have worn this foundation:

Have you ever tried Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, how was your experience?

See ya…
