Hello beauties,
This month is soon turning out to be a “Kama Ayurveda” month
for me. It has so happened in the recent times that I seem to have products
from this brand around me and I must say that I am impressed and hooked with
the excellent quality. Today I am reviewing the Kama Ayurveda Rejuvinating and Brightening Ayurvedic Night Cream. Read on to know more...
Price: INR 1650 for 50 gm of the product
Ingredient list:
Packaging: Comes in a sturdy glass jar with a screw cap.
There is also a cute little wooden spatula for removing the required amount of
product. You actually don’t need to dunk your fingers in the jar and it also
helps to prevent bacterial build up. The packaging looks very basic but once
you hold it it actually feels very luxurious.
Swatch:
As soon as you open the tub, you are delighted to see and
smell the product. The cream looks quiet thick and emollient, slightly
yellowish in colour, and smells like the purest pure saffron. But the smell is
not very overpowering. It is just like the smell of saffron which is very pure
and pristine, it instantly relaxes my mind and puts me in a night mode (he he
he).
I use the wooden spatula to scoop out a teeny tiny amount of
product as my skin is not very dry and apply it in a light patting motion on my
face. The amount of cream shown in the swatch is enough to cover my face and
neck.
The cream has very good emollient properties, though it
absorbs fairly quickly. Initially, I took some time to realize the optimum
amount of cream required for my face and skin type, as sometimes I would scoop
a lot and sometimes too less.
The cream does provide a nice layer of moisture to my face
and initially though I felt it was too emollient, later I realized that it is
just right for me (I have normal to combination skin type). Further, the next
morning I noticed clearer and brighter skin. With persistence use, it did
reduce the dark spots and marks on my face and brightened my complexion.
Even though the price is a bit on the higher side, a real
small quantity is required for everyday use. With my current usage, this tub is
going to last me atleast for six months.
Overall a great night cream, something which I have been
searching for since a long, long time.
Have you tried the cream yet? Do let me know in the comments
below.
See ya...
