Khadi Natural Reetha and Shikakai Powders for Hair, Photos, Usage, Review

Hello beauties,

The current nip in the air is what I am loving atm, along with these two organic powders from Khadi Natural (Khadi Natural Reetha and Shikakai Powder) for my hair.

My hair has been the most problematic area for me since long as they are super silky and super super fine/thin. That means they go limp by evening of the day I wash them. As a next step you will understand that I wash them quiet often, more than what I would like, almost every second day. This has led to a massive, massive hair loss and further thinning of my hair strands. No amount of volumizing shampoo and product can make up for the hair lost by the frequent washing. And this is when I don't use any chemical dyes/colors on my hair.

So one day while browsing online, I came across these Khadi Natural Reetha and Shikakai Powder and remembered one of my aunts telling me about their usage on hair (sometime during my childhood days). It was an impulsive buy and my hair has survived (till now) to tell the tale, read on to know more...

Price: INR 170 for Shikakai Powder, INR 190 for Reetha Powder

Ingredients (see the pic below):
No preservative, just one single ingredient (yipee!!)

Packaging:
This is how the powders look, they are actually packed in plastic zip lock bag which is placed inside these tin containers. I just remove the plastic bag and like to place the product in the tin jar itself.

Usage:
This is how the mixture looks once I have dissolved one tablespoon each of the Khadi Natural Reetha and Shikakai Powder in lukewarm  water.

I soak these two powders overnight and the next morning pour this mixture onto my slightly damp hair. Next I let the mixture sit on my hair for 5 minutes and then I gently rub the mixture all over the scalp with my finger tips. After that I wash off my hair. I also don't use any conditioner as shikakai is the most natural conditioner providing both luster and softness to hair.

After using these powders, I have noticed remarkably less hair fall as compared to the days, when I use a shampoo to wash my hair. My hair feel healthier, silkier and much much more manageable. I have also noticed that these powders don't strip away my hair color as a shampoo would do. Sometimes, I mix these powders with my henna to get added shine and better cleansing after henna application.

The only con I have noticed with these powders is that they don't clean any oil (which you might have applied) like a shampoo would. So, I use the powders generally when I haven't had the time to oil my hair the night before as they are super gentle, don't strip away the natural hair oils and yet make the hair squeaky clean and shiny.

I would definitely rate the Khadi Natural Reetha and Shikakai Powders as one of the best, economical, natural/herbal/organic and effective hair care products of this year 2017 for me.
